From IT Professional to Fitness Icon
Amartya Sinha’s story is a shining inspiration. At the age of 48, when many people fall into a routine, Amartya decided to embark on a revolutionary journey in the fitness world. With over 20 years of experience as an IT professional, he has taken to running and has set a strong example that it is never too soon to change your life, today he celebrates his 53rd birthday on 19th June 2024.

Amartya’s professional life is based in the IT industry, where he has built a successful career. Despite her professional success, she realized she had to put her own health and well-being first. This insight was the start of her amazing journey.

The turning point came when Amartya decided to take charge of his health. His dedication and discipline were unwavering. It started out small, but with each passing moment, his passion for running grew stronger. Her dedication was evident as she began competing in track and field, pushing her limits and achieving what many of her peers thought impossible

Family Matters
Amartya’s wife, Nutan Sinha, is an important part of his journey. She initially supported his running by keeping him hydrated, but soon became an avid runner herself. As a Fit India Ambassador in Lucknow, she regularly participates in running events and has achieved many placements in her age group. Amartya and Nutan support each other’s fitness endeavors, travel together, and enjoy a healthy and active lifestyle.
Supporting the Running Community
Amartya is also committed to supporting other runners and organizers. He runs a running group called Runbaaz and shares his daily fitness activities on social media, motivating many beginners to take up fitness training. His insights and suggestions to event organizers based on his own experience as a fitness runner are much appreciated.
Consistency, Not Speed
Amartya believes in the power of consistency, rather than focusing on speed. He emphasizes the importance of running or taking part in fitness activities every day, regardless of the pace. He has noticed that many runners push themselves too hard to get recognition on social media, which often leads to injuries. Amartya advocates a balanced approach and promotes sustainable fitness practices that prioritize long-term health over short-term success.
